Many people think Disney World is only for kids. But, it’s not all characters and kiddie rides. It is not only possible, but also quite easy to have fun at Disney World without kids. Disney World is a wonderful vacation spot for an adults-only trip! Keep reading to find out exactly how to have tons of fun on an adults only trip to Disney World!
My husband and I went to Disney World before we became parents, and it was one of the best trips we’ve ever had.

Reasons to go
Before we dive into how to have fun at Disney World without kids, let’s talk about why you should do it. There are many reasons to go to Disney World without kids. Here are my top seven:
1. It’s cheaper!
You can save thousands of dollars by leaving the kids at home! A trip for two adults is much more affordable than one including the whole family. Plus, you can save money by not having to constantly buy snacks for your kids!
2. Going to Disney World without kids is less stressful.
Let’s be honest: kids are kids. When they get tired or hungry, they tend to get cranky and have meltdowns. You have to worry about them getting lost and think about their needs. When you go to Disney World kid-free, you don’t have to think about any of those things. You can just relax and be a kid yourself!
3. It’s easier.
It is also easier to navigate crowds and get from place to place without pushing a stroller or walking at your child’s pace. You can get ready in the mornings faster and get back to the hotel at night easier because you won’t be carrying a sleeping child. Plus, you don’t have to listen to the “I wants” the entire trip!

4. You can get more done.
When you are in the parks without children, you can get more things accomplished than when you have kids in tow. And because your attention is not focused on them, you can enjoy the details that surround you.
5. You can do all the things you want to do but never get the chance.
An adults-only trip will allow you to linger over dinner or lounge by the pool and relax. You can get a massage or go out dancing at Disney World if you want.
You can do all the things that you have always wanted to experience but didn’t have the chance to because you were with your kids.
6. You can spend time with your spouse.
If your family is like mine, when we are all together, it is difficult for my husband and I to have a conversation or spend quality time together because we are always focused on our son. A Disney World trip without kids gives you that quality time you desire.
7. You can ride rides with your spouse for once!
If you go without the kids, you won’t have to split up to sit with the kids on rides. You can actually sit together and enjoy having fun together.

Things to do
So, what can you do on an adults-only trip to Disney World? There are tons of things to do, both inside and outside the parks, that are geared towards adults. For instance, you can play golf, have a spa day, or enjoy some shopping.
You could also visit some of the resorts and take in the different themes. Rent a boat for a relaxing day on the water. Have dinner and drinks in a nice restaurant. Wander through Epcot’s World Showcase pavilions. Explore all the details in the parks. You can also take a behind-the-scenes tour, go bowling, or catch a Cirque de Soleil show.
There is so much to do at Disney World that you can have fun without the kids and never even go on a ride!
Places to stay
The beauty of going to Disney World without kids is that you don’t have to worry about pleasing your children. You can pick a resort that is more suited to your own tastes. And because it’s cheaper, upgrading to a moderate or deluxe resort will be easier.
Pick a resort that speaks to you and provides an escape from reality. Coronado Springs and Port Orleans Riverside are good choices at the moderate level. The Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Yacht Club are excellent resorts to choose in the deluxe category.

Places to eat
Just as choosing where to stay is different when you go to Disney World without kids, choosing your restaurants will also be different. During your adults only trip, you can pick places to eat that are more adventurous or with nicer atmospheres.
You don’t have to worry about looking at the kids’ menu when deciding where to make reservations. And because it’s cheaper, you will be in a better position to splurge on a meal or two.
Without kids, you can consider eating at one of Disney’s signature restaurants. Jiko and Sanaa are wonderful choices for an adults-only meal if you are adventurous eaters. Both are located at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Good romantic restaurants are California Grill in the Contemporary and Narcoossee’s in the Grand Floridian.

Conclusion
Disney World is a wonderful vacation spot for families. But, it is not just for kids. You can enjoy a nice escape from reality without kids there as well. Disney offers many things that are geared towards adults that you may not even know exist. I highly recommend a trip to Disney World without kids one day. I promise you will have a great time!
