The Fab Five (and their friends)
Of course, you can’t talk about where to find every character at Animal Kingdom without starting with Mickey Mouse! You can find him and his friends hanging out in various spots around Animal Kingdom.
Mickey Mouse
Grab a photo of Mickey Mouse in his safari outfit at the Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island. He is here most of the day every day, along with Minnie Mouse.
Minnie Mouse
Minnie spends her days hanging out in the Animal Kingdom with Mickey Mouse at the Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island. You can find her dressed in her safari outfit.
Donald Duck
Are you a big Donald Duck fan? You can find him dressed up in a colorful outfit in Dinoland USA at Donald’s Dino-Bash. He is usually on the far right side of the land, near Triceratops Spin.
Daisy Duck
Looking for Daisy Duck in Animal Kingdom? You can find her in Dinoland USA at Donald’s Dino-Bash. You can see her here most of the day.
Pluto
Pluto also hangs out in Dinoland USA at Donald’s Dino-Bash. You can find him here throughout the day on most days.
Goofy
If you are looking to meet every character in Animal Kingdom, then you can’t miss Goofy! You will find him at Donald’s Dino-Bash in Dinoland USA. He is out meeting guests most of the day.
Chip and Dale
Want to know what’s cuter than two playful chipmunks? Two playful chipmunks dressed up in dinosaur outfits! And that’s exactly what you will find when you go meet Chip and Dale at Donald’s Dino-Bash in Dinoland USA.
Scrooge McDuck
Want to get your photo with the richest duck around? Then head over to Dinoland USA and look for Scrooge McDuck at Donald’s Dino-Bash!
Launchpad McQuack
Another fun character to meet while at Animal Kingdom is Launchpad McQuack. You can find this pilot in Dinoland USA at Donald’s Dino-Bash.
Baloo
No list of every character at Animal Kingdom is complete without Baloo from Jungle Book. He is a regular bear in this park, although he doesn’t make an appearance as often now as he used to.
If you are lucky, you can see him on Discovery Island. Look for him early in the day for the best chance of meeting him.
Moana
The newest character at the Animal Kingdom is a crowd favorite: Moana! She is now meeting guests at the Character Landing on Discovery Island. She is out most of the day.
Lion King Characters
Another group of popular characters to find in the Animal Kingdom are Rafiki and Timon from the Lion King.
Rafiki
Rafiki is one of my favorite characters to meet. You can find him occasionally on Discover Island. If you miss him here, check at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Sometimes you can find him hanging out there.
Timon
Timon is another fun character to see in Animal Kingdom. You can catch this meerkat occasionally making an appearance at the Character Landing on Discovery Island.
The UP Characters
Animal Kingdom provides you a unique chance to meet some of the characters from the movie UP. It is the only place in Disney World to meet these characters.
Russell
Russell can be found in two places in Animal Kingdom. First, you can see him throughout the day on Discovery Island. Usually he is in an area to the left of the Tree of Life (if you are looking at it with your back to the entrance gates) on the main pathway.
The second place to find Russell is outside of UP! A Great Bird Adventure show in Asia.
Dug
Meet Dug and get your picture with him on Discovery Island just to the left of the Tree of Life. He meets guests here regularly with Russell.
Kevin
Kevin is one of the most unique characters at Animal Kingdom. He can usually be found walking around Discovery Island.
Pocahontas Characters
Are you a Pocahontas fan? Then you will be excited to know that she and her friend Meeko are on the list of every character at Animal Kingdom!
Pocahontas
Pocahontas meets guests on a regular basis at the Character Landing on Discovery Island.
Meeko
Meeko occasionally makes appearances on Discovery Island. When he is out, you can usually find him hanging out just off the main pathways.
Koda
Koda, from Brother Bear, is another character that doesn’t make regular appearances at Animal Kingdom. He does come out occasionally however. When he is out, you can find him on Discovery Island. Like Meeko, he is usually hanging out just off the main pathways.
Character Meals
Character meals are always a great place to meet characters. To see what characters you can find at each of the character meals at Disney World, check out my character meals at a glance.
Unfortunately, there is only one character meal in all of Animal Kingdom: Tusker House.
Tusker House
Tusker House is located in Africa. It is a buffet meal, serving American favorites and some African dishes. You can meet Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse and Goofy in their safari outfits here.
