Now, this doesn’t have to be an extravagant trip. You could gift her a weekend trip in a nearby city or even a day trip to do something that she’s been wanting to do for a while.

A Reason to Travel
Speaking of giving the mom in your life an element of a trip, why not make this the best Christmas ever by giving her a reason to take a trip?!?!
What do I mean by this? Well, it’s simple. Give her an experience in another location so she has a reason to take a trip.
For instance, if she loves Broadway shows, give her tickets to see a show in New York City. If she needs some relaxation, buy her a spa package to use on a weekend trip to a favorite destination. Is she a sports fan? Then buy her tickets to watch her favorite team play an away game.
Luggage
Looking for a more practical gift? Next up on my gift guide for moms is nice luggage. I don’t know anyone who loves to travel who wouldn’t be super excited to receive new luggage for Christmas.
You can either buy her an entire set of matching luggage or give her one really high quality piece, such as a carryon bag, backpack, or even a duffle bag perfect for a weekend away.
Just remember to buy luggage that is colorful or distinctive if she flies a lot so she can easily find it in baggage claim.
High Quality Travel Pillow
Another wonderful gift for the mom who loves to travel is an awesome travel pillow. This will allow her to get some sleep on her next flight. And we all know that a rested mom is a happy mom! And travel is a lot more fun when mom is happy!
Packing Cubes
One of the best gifts on my gift guide for moms who love to travel is one that she might not think of for herself, but that she is sure to love. And that is packing cubes. These are a complete game changer!
I didn’t get the hype of packing cubes at first, but once I tried them I was hooked. I don’t travel without them these days. In fact, I have a set for everyone in my family, each in a different color.
Packing cubes make traveling with a family so much easier! They keep your suitcases organized and all your things in an easy-to-find place.

A Camera
Want to make the mom on your holiday shopping list beyond thrilled on Christmas morning? Then buy her a nice camera!
A good quality camera will allow your favorite traveling mom to capture all those precious memories on her adventures.
One of my favorite Christmas gifts that I ever received from my husband was my DSLR camera. A DSLR camera is a great choice if she loves (or wants to try her hand at) travel photography.
If, on the other hand, she loves hiking and water sports, consider a rugged underwater camera for her.
Noise-cancelling Headphones
I don’t know of any mom that wouldn’t love to have a little bit of peace and quiet in her life. So, if you have a travel-loving mom on your holiday shopping list, give her a high quality pair of noise-cancelling headphones.
While she may not be able to use them to keep all the noise out of her life, they can give her some quiet bliss on her next flight. And I promise that she will love you forever for that!
A Travel Journal/Trip Planner
Next on my gift guide for moms who love to travel is a travel journal and/or trip planner. If the mom on your list loves to plan trips, then a trip planner would make a fantastic gift for her. She will be super excited to plan her future trips in a beautiful planner!
And if your favorite mom enjoys journaling or documenting her trips, then you must give her a cute travel journal. Look for one that has plenty of space for her to record her memories and opinions on each trip. Also go for one that includes space for photos and other memorabilia.
Travel Guides
Another great gift for the trip planning mom is a collection of travel guides. These can be for locations that she is planning to visit in the not-so-distant future or places that are on her bucket list.
I can tell you, as a mom who loves planning trips, I would be thrilled to get travel guides for Christmas! They always inspire me to start planning more trips for my family!
A Photobook From a Favorite Trip
Have a mom who loves travel photography? Then why not grab her photos from one of her favorite past trips and make her a photobook?
This book would allow her to relive her beloved trip over and over again for years to come. Plus, it will let her share her favorite travel photos with her friends and family.
I use Shutterfly for all of my photobooks and highly recommend them.
Travel Gift Cards
The last item on my gift guide for moms who love to travel is travel-related gift cards. Nowadays, you can find gift cards for major airlines and hotel chains. You could also give her a general one, such as a Visa gift card.
If she is a Disney fan, a Disney gift card is a great idea because she can use it to pay for part of a Disney trip or on food or souvenirs while in the parks.
Alternatively, you could give her restaurant gift cards to use on her next trip or a gift card that she can use to pick out some new luggage, a camera, or even new outfits to wear while traveling.
