A Disney trip can be expensive, especially for larger families. There are ways, however, to save money on your trip. One way is with grocery delivery at Disney World so you can eat some of your meals in your room.
Nowadays, there are several options for your grocery delivery. Here’s everything you need to know about saving money with grocery delivery at Disney World. (Updated October 9, 2020.)

Why have grocery delivery at Disney World?
Not only can getting groceries delivered to your Disney World resort hotel save you money, it can also save you time.
First, getting grocery delivery at Disney World saves money on food in the parks. Eating in your room is much less expensive than eating at a restaurant, especially one that is on property.
It can also save you money on baggage fees at the airport. Instead of packing things like sunscreen, toothpaste and other toiletries, you can order them online and have them delivered to your hotel.
When my son was a baby, I even ordered diapers and wipes so I wouldn’t have to pack a week’s worth of them in our luggage.
Having your groceries delivered will also save you time. It means you don’t have to stop at a store once you arrive in Florida. This also saves you from having to take an Uber to the store if you fly and don’t have a car readily available.
It can also be quicker to eat breakfast in your room than spending precious time waiting in busy restaurants while in the parks.

What are the options?
As mentioned above, there are several options when it comes to getting a grocery delivery at Disney World. You can use Amazon Prime, Instacart, or Garden Grocer.
I have not personally used Amazon Prime or Instacart for this, but I have heard good things from others who have used them. My favorite option is Garden Grocer.
Garden Grocer is an online grocery store in Central Florida that delivers to all of the Disney World Resort hotels and some offsite hotels. You can use their website or app to order your groceries, pay for your order, and schedule your delivery date and time before you even leave for your trip!
It couldn’t be any easier to stock your hotel room with food!
What can you order?
Garden Grocer has anything you would find in a traditional brick-and-mortar grocery store. They carry most of the name brands that you would expect to find in your neighborhood grocery store at home.
They offer fruits and vegetables, milk and other dairy products, bottled water, soda, sunscreen, breakfast items, sandwiches, baked goods, toiletries, and even condiments!
You can also order beer and wine from them. They also have organic and natural products as well.
Where will they deliver?

Garden Grocer delivers to all Disney World resorts.
They no longer require a minimum order, but you will have to pay a delivery charge of $14 if your order is under $200.
You do not need to be present for the delivery. They will leave your groceries with Bell Services at the hotel. If you have any cold items, Bell Services will put them in their coolers until you are in your room to receive them.
Garden Grocer is very good about packaging your cold items separately from items which can be kept at room temperature.
You can schedule your delivery to coordinate your delivery with your arrival at your resort.
They also offer same day or next day delivery. The charge for same day delivery is $30 and next day service is $20. This is very helpful if you forgot something or have an unexpected need arise while on vacation.
If a member of your family gets sick and you need an over-the-counter medication while at Disney World, this is a great solution.

Our Experience
We have used them several times during our trips to Disney World. We’ve had nothing but good experiences with Garden Grocer.
I usually place my order about a week before our trip. I try to schedule the delivery for approximately the same time as I will be checking in on arrival day.
Most of the time, I order breakfast items, bottled water, and snacks. I have also ordered diapers, wipes, and sunscreen in the past.
Every time I’ve ordered from Garden Grocer, my order has always arrived very close in time to check in. The last time we ordered, our groceries actually arrived before we did!
Bell Services left everything except for the cold items in our room. They kept our cold items in their coolers until we were ready for them so they wouldn’t spoil.
I have always been impressed with the condition of my groceries upon arrival.
More Tips for Grocery Delivery at Disney World
- Save even more money by placing your order with Garden Grocer 60 days in advance. This will save you 10%.
- Disney now charges $6 per bag for deliveries to your room. To save even more money by avoiding this fee, either meet your grocery delivery person in the lobby or go pick your food up from Bell Services as opposed to having them deliver them to your room.
Conclusion
A trip to Disney can be expensive. So, it’s important to be able to save money wherever you can. A grocery delivery at Disney World through Garden Grocer, or another service, is one way to do this.
Garden Grocer gives you access to a full-service grocery store, even if you don’t have a car on your vacation, so you can get everything you need. The fact that you can order your groceries before you leave home and schedule a delivery time that is convenient for you is icing on the cake!
I highly recommend Garden Grocer to save money with a grocery delivery at Disney World.
