Hollywood Studios has added a couple new lands and several new rides. It is definitely a park to visit during your next Disney World vacation. Here are the 10 best things to do at Hollywood Studios.

1. Fantasmic!
Fantasmic! is, arguably, the best nighttime show in all of Disney World. It is one of two nightly fireworks shows at Hollywood Studios.
Fantasmic! is much more than just fireworks, though. It combines characters, lasers, projections, fire, water, and music into a unique show.
This is my all time favorite nighttime show on property. I love that it is dramatic and beautiful. It has a wonderful musical score.
Unlike the other nighttime shows, for this show, you sit in an amphitheater, which holds approximately 7000 people. There are no bad seats in this theater. However, in order to get the best seats, you should get there at least 30-45 minutes before the start of the show.
There is a moat of water separating you from the stage, but a good deal of the show takes place in that water. This is another aspect of the show that sets it apart from other firework shows.
Fantasmic! is definitely worth your time! You can’t miss it!

2. Toy Story Mania
This is one of the best rides ever created! It is one of those rides you will want to ride again and again. And it is perfect for all ages!
Toy Story Mania takes you inside of a video game. Throughout the ride, you play a series of carnival style games hosted by the characters of Toy Story.
As you go, your ride vehicle tracks your score and accuracy. If you are competitive, this ride is for you!
It is a great family-friendly ride which is a must-do for everyone in the family!

3. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Next on my list of the best things to do at Hollywood Studios is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. This is one of the biggest thrill rides at Disney World.
The entire ride is set to the music of Aerosmith, which plays in your ears throughout the ride through speakers in your seat. It has a rocket launch that will send you flying in a matter of seconds. It also includes multiple inversions.
The entire environment, from the music to the sights around you, is very immersive. It is all about rock and roll!
You must be at least 48″ tall to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. And it is not for the faint of heart. Even if your kids are tall enough to ride, make sure they are ready for this before they ride!
If you love roller coasters, this will be at the top of your list of attractions in Hollywood Studios!
4. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is themed around the old television show The Twilight Zone. This ride has a rich environment, and the cast members who work here really play up their roles.
Basically, you sit in an elevator shaft and are dropped multiple times. The drops are random, so each ride is a little bit different in terms of the number of drops and the height of each one.
Throughout the ride, you will see props from the show sitting about. If you are a fan of the show, you will have a field day looking at all of the props and references throughout this ride.
It does have a height requirement of 40′, so the smallest members of your family will not be able to ride.
This is a favorite of most thrill seekers. Anyone who is scared of heights will not like this one, though.

5. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
Hollywood Studios is the only park that has two nighttime shows. The first one is Fantasmic! The second fireworks show is Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.
As you would expect, the focus here is on Star Wars. It includes both fireworks and projections on the sides of the surrounding buildings with a Star Wars soundtrack.
My husband, who doesn’t like firework shows, was blown away by this show. It is simply amazing.
Many nights, this show will start either at the same time as or half an hour after Fantasmic!, which makes it difficult to see them both in the same night. Both shows are very good, so you should plan to spend two nights in Hollywood Studios. Watch one show your fist night and the other on the second night.
6. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run
One of two rides in Galaxy’s Edge: Star Wars Land is Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. In a nutshell, you get to ride the iconic Millennium Falcon on a mission! How cool is that!?!?
You and five others board the Millennium Falcon together. Before boarding, two of you will be assigned to be pilots, two will be engineers, and the last two will be assigned to be navigators. You must all work together to complete the mission.
This ride is very well done. And the details are straight out of the movies, so Star Wars fans will love this!
It is a motion simulator, though, so if you are prone to motion sickness, this may bother you a bit.
7. Rise of the Resistance
The other ride in Galaxy’s Edge is Rise of the Resistance. This is the move immersive, innovative, and mind-blowing ride Disney has ever created.
Even if you are not a Star Wars fan, you will love this ride! It is probably the absolute best thing to do in Hollywood Studios.
I won’t tell you what to expect from this one because it is better if you don’t have any advance knowledge of the ride. But, trust me, you CAN NOT miss this ride! I recommend making this the first thing you do on your Hollywood Studios day.

8. MuppetVision 3D
Who doesn’t love the Muppets? They are awesome! MuppetVision 3D will take you back to your childhood with all of your favorite Muppets in tow. It is also a fun way to introduce your children to these beloved characters.
The queue and preshow are filled with many funny and clever Muppet-style jokes. In the preshow room, be sure to look up at the net!
This show is cute and humorous. It is also a great place to give your feet a break and cool off.
9. Alien Swirling Saucers
One of the rides in Toy Story Land is Alien Swirling Saucers. This is a cute ride which can be enjoyed by everyone in the family over 32 inches tall.
In this Pizza Planet-inspired ride, you board a flying saucer. One of the little green aliens then whips you around as you pass by The Claw.
The ride is set to catchy techno versions of popular songs from the Toy Story movies. Your little ones will love this ride.

10. Slinky Dog Dash
Last, but certainly not least, on this list of the best things to do at Hollywood Studios is Slinky Dog Dash. It is also in Toy Story Land.
It is a family-friendly rollercoaster with a 38 inch height requirement. This fun little coaster zips all through the land passing statues of Jessie and Rex along the way.
Adults and kids alike will love this one!

Conclusion
These 10 best things to do at Hollywood Studios will help you to enjoy the park to the fullest. This park has some of the newest and most fun rides you can find in all of Disney World. I hope you enjoy your day in Hollywood Studios.
