Cincinnati is a fantastic city to visit with kids. There are a ton of fun things to do, and it is so easy to get around. But, where should you eat during your trip? Here are the best places to eat in Cincinnati with kids!

For Breakfast or Brunch
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And regardless of whether your family are early risers or late sleepers, Cincinnati has some great options for breakfast and brunch. Here are the best of the best:

Sugar n’ Spice Diner
My all-time favorite restaurant for breakfast in Cincinnati is Sugar n’ Spice Diner. This retro looking diner features bright colors and a fun vibe.
The food is so delicious! They have all the classics, including breakfast burritos, pancakes, waffles, and eggs benedict. They also have the fluffiest omelets I have ever seen! And they have my favorite: chicken and waffles! Yum!
See the full menu here.
And your kids will love that everyone gets to pick out a little rubber ducky to take home at the end of your meal. How fun is that!?!?
Hang Over Easy
Want a breakfast that’s a little more of a guilty pleasure? Then you have to head to Hang Over Easy. This favorite among college students is also a great place to fill your family’s bellies before heading out for a day of sightseeing. And it’s laid back enough that your kids will be as comfortable here as you are.
At this come-as-you-are place, you will find some traditional breakfast favorites, such as chicken and waffles, pancakes, omelets, and breakfast tacos. You will also discover some creative mashups, like the cinnamon roll French toast and a donut sandwich with bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese.
See the full menu here.

Sleepy Bee Cafe
If you are looking for some healthier options, then Sleepy Bee Cafe may be the perfect breakfast option for your family. They have classic dishes, such as eggs, pancakes, and bacon, but they also have smoothies, vegan and gluten free dishes.
They also have coloring books to keep your kids entertained while you finish your meal.
You will find four different locations throughout Cincinnati.
You can find their menu here.
Pizza, Burgers, and Other Kid Favorites
Dewey’s Pizza
Dewey’s Pizza is a local pizza chain that is loved by the locals! This is one reason why it’s on my list of awesome places to eat in Cincinnati with kids.
They offer a wide selection of unique and creative pizza combinations, such as buffalo chicken with celery, ranch, red onions and two types of cheese, or the fig and prosciutto pizza. Check out the full menu.
Your kids will love watching their pizza being made through the large windows into the kitchen.
Skyline Chili
Skyline Chili is another Cincinnati favorite. It seems like everyone who lives in the Queen City loves this place.
It’s menu celebrates everything chili: from chili cheese hotdogs to chili cheese fries and spaghetti. But they also offer some healthier options, such as salads and wraps.
For the kids, you can get smaller versions of their most popular menu items or, if they prefer to leave off the chili, you can get a small plate of spaghetti with just cheese.
There are four different Cincinnati locations to choose from, so you are never far away from some comforting chili!
The Gruff
The Gruff is another awesome place to eat in Cincinnati with kids. It has a kids’ menu for those 16 and under (which is great if you have a picky teen like I do). Their menu is full of fan favorites like sandwiches, hotdogs, pizza, fries, and more.
And when your kids’ get antsy, you can allow them to head over to the kids’ area to play while you finish up your meal.
Breweries

Dead Low Brewery
If you love hanging out and eating in breweries, but don’t want to take your kids to a dark bar, then Dead Low Brewery is perfect for you! This place is unlike any other brewery I’ve ever been in. It is light, bright, and feels more like a coastal seafood restaurant than a bar.
The menu features a combination of popular pub grub with some unique additions. You will find fried pickles, pizza, wings, burgers, onion rings, and chips and salsa. They also have a variety of sandwiches on naan bread, including a philly naan.
The kids’ menu features mac and cheese, pizza, chicken tenders, and a grilled cheese naan. My son loved the pizza here!

Taft’s Ale House
Next on my list of the best places to eat in Cincinnati with kids is Taft’s Ale House. If you want to dine at a local brewery with a really cool vibe, then Taft’s is the place for you! This place oozes character and history.
It is located in an old church. You can still see the remains from the church in the ornate windows and arches on the front facade and the high ceilings inside.
Taft’s is named after and themed around Cincinnati native William Howard Taft, former United States president and supreme court justice. Throughout the space there are nods to his large size and life’s work. For instance, the beer taps are all gavels.
Taft’s has long tables which can easily accommodate large families or groups. This is a great place to meet up with friends and hang out for a while.
The menu at Taft’s Ale House includes some interesting choices, including a tri tip steak salad, a barbacoa torte, and an herbed salmon sandwich. For the kids, they offer burgers, pizza, and chicken tenders. Take a look at the full menu here.

Fifty West Brewing
Last but not least on my list of awesome places to eat in Cincinnati with kids is Fifty West Brewing. This is the perfect place to go when the weather is nice and your kids have energy to burn!
They have a large outdoor seating area with umbrellas over the tables. Their sand volleyball courts, cornhole, and pickleball courts give your kids plenty of space to play and things to do while you relax.
For food, you can’t get any more kid-friendly that this menu! They are serving up classic burgers, fries, hotdogs, and shakes that are as nostalgic as they are yummy.
