There are a ton of places to get food in Disneyland. But not all of them are created equal. The best ones have cool atmospheres, unique menu items, and will please everyone in your family. In Disney’s California Adventure, one of the best quick-service restaurants is Smokejumpers Grill. Keep reading to find out why this place will quickly become your family’s new favorite restaurant at Disneyland!

The Menu at Smokejumpers Grill
The menu at Smokejumpers Grill includes theme park basics, such as chicken tenders and cheeseburgers. But, it also features some unique burgers, such as the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich with avocado-ranch and bleu cheese sauce and the bbq jackfruit sandwich.
All of the entrees come with waffle fries, which is a nice change from the usual. And these fries are one of the best things at this eatery. You will find chili fries and chili cheese fries on the menu too.
For kids, they offer a burger, grilled cheese sandwich, chicken tenders, or chicken skewers. The restaurant’s dessert menu consists of s’mores, chocolate or vanilla milkshakes, or a cobbler milkshake.
When we had lunch here, I had the basic cheeseburger, which was good but nothing special. The waffle fries were delicious however! I loved them!
My husband, Chris, ate the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich, which he really enjoyed. According to him, it was very spicy. Our son had the kids’ chicken tenders. And he was pleased with them.
The beauty of Smokejumpers Grill is that there is enough variety on the menu to please adventurous eaters, while also having some safe choices for picky eaters in the family.

Where is it located?
Smokejumpers Grill is located in the Grizzly Peak section of California Adventure. It is conveniently located right next door to Soarin, just inside the entrance to Grizzly Peak.
Because the restaurant is not too far from the main thoroughfare into the park, it is a good choice if you are looking for a place to eat as soon as you enter the park. It’s also the perfect place to stop and grab some food before heading out of the park.

The Prices and Portion Sizes
The prices for food at Smokejumpers Grill are on par with other quick service locations throughout Disneyland Resort.
Entrees will cost you between $10-14 each. The side dishes, desserts, and kids’ meals are all in the $4-8 range. Beer prices are between $8-10, while nonalcoholic drinks cost between $2-5 each.
The portion sizes here are adequate, but are not big enough to share unless your group is just looking for a snack. However, you may be able to save a little money by splitting an entree and a side dish between two people.

The Decor/Atmosphere
The theme of Smokejumpers Grill comes from the history of smokejumpers. These are the brave men and women who fight wildfires from the skies in California and the surrounding areas.
The restaurant itself looks like an airplane hangar. The walls are adorned with artifacts, photos, and other items related to the profession. It all feels authentic without being too much of a museum. The environment gives you the sense that you are eating in a cafeteria for smokejumpers.
The theme fits in perfectly with the entire Grizzly Peak area and especially with Soarin’ next door. If someone in your family is interested in firefighting or aviation, they will thoroughly love looking at all of the memorabilia while eating here.

Conclusion
Smokejumpers Grill in the Grizzly Peak section of Disney’s California Adventure is one of the best quick service restaurants for families to eat lunch or dinner while in the park. The menu is basic enough to please the picky eaters, while adventurous enough for those looking for something bolder. The prices are on par with other quick-service places throughout Disneyland Resort.
If you are in California Adventure and looking for a place to eat, stop in at Smokejumpers Grill. I think you will discover it is your new favorite restaurant.
