Phoenix is an amazing destination for families: it has great weather, tons of things to do, and lots of delicious family friendly restaurants. Snakes & Lattes is not only one of the best, but it’s also one of the most unique. Keep reading to find out why you must eat here with your family on your next trip to Phoenix!

What is Snakes & Lattes?
In a nutshell, Snakes & Lattes is the perfect mashup of all your favorite things. It’s a restaurant, coffee shop, and bar all rolled into one. It’s also where your family game night goes for a night out.
This restaurant is unique in that it is themed around board games. In one corner, they have a game library full of board and card games that you can play at your table while you eat, drink, and hang out. How fun is that!?!?

The Games
They have a wide variety of games, ranging from the classics, like Monopoly and Battleship, to those that are so new you’ve never heard of them.
For a small fee of $5, you can play as many of the games in the game library as you want for as long as you want.
You will find party games, children’s games, and some that are for adults only. They have games that are just plain fun and some that involve tons of strategy. Some of the games can be played in 15-20 minutes while others take an hour or more.
The games are arranged in sections and are labeled by type and intended audience so you can easily find one that’s perfect for your family. They also have a game menu to help you decide what you want to play.
This is a great way to try out new games before buying them yourself! It’s also an excellent opportunity to introduce your kids to your favorite childhood games.

The Food
The menu at Snakes & Lattes includes a large variety of dishes. It has standard pub grub, such as pizza, nachos, and burgers. You can also find heartier meals, like short ribs and steak. And if you prefer something on the lighter side, you can find chicken wraps, salads, and soup.
The mac and cheese and street tacos are pretty good. If you love poutine, you will be happy to know they have 4 different types to choose from.
The dessert menu includes ice cream, creme brulee, and cheesecake.
They also have a brunch menu with pancakes, French toast, and more on it.
See the full menu on their website.

Our Experience
We ate lunch at the Snakes & Lattes in Phoenix during our road trip through Arizona and Utah. As soon as they opened, we went in and sat down.
We spend about an hour and a half eating and playing games. Our son had so much fun that he wanted to stay for the entire afternoon. He also begged to go back later in our trip.
We played a couple different games, and had a blast. It was hard to decide what to play though because there were so many choices.
The only thing I didn’t really like about the experience was that there wasn’t enough room on the table for the game board and our food, so it was a little difficult to eat while playing.
The food was pretty good. My only complaint with the food (and it’s minor) is that I wish the bacon had been incorporated better into my bacon mac and cheese instead of just plopped on top.
All in all, we had a great time. We will definitely return to Snakes & Lattes the next time we are close to one. I highly recommend it.

Conclusion
Snakes & Lattes is a little expensive, but it is a fun and unique place for families to eat in Phoenix. It’s a great way to spend quality time hanging out and playing games with your kids. Definitely check it out!
