Some sporting events are just epic. They are the stuff that legends are made of. And, if you are a sports fan, these are the events that you would give your right arm to see! To make sure you don’t miss any, here are the best sporting events that should be on your bucket list!

1. Super Bowl
First up on our ultimate list of sporting events for your bucket list is the Super Bowl. This is not only the NFL’s championship game, it is also the most anticipated football game of the year!
Regardless of the teams playing, any football fan would jump at the chance to see the Super Bowl in person. If you are a sports fan, or if you have a football fan in your family, the Super Bowl should definitely be on your bucket list! What a great way to start off a new year!
2. World Series
Is baseball more your style? Then Major League Baseball’s World Series should definitely be on your bucket list! This October classic showcases the best the sport has to offer.
The atmosphere of the World Series is so much more intense and exciting than regular games. It really does take baseball to a whole other level.
The best part of the World Series is that it’s not just one game like the Super Bowl. You have up to seven chances to experience the World Series each year. And because it moves back and forth between the two participating teams’ stadiums, you have a choice on where to go see it.

3. Olympics
I don’t know of anyone on the planet, sports fan or not, who doesn’t want to see the Olympics in person at some point in their life. It is the only sporting event that is a worldwide phenomenon. And it means so much more than most sporting events.
Whether you prefer winter or summer sports, there is something in the Olympics for everyone. And because the location moves to a new place every time, you can plan a trip to a destination close to home or one you’ve always wanted to visit.
4. College Football Playoffs
One of the most electric sporting events that should be on your bucket list is the college football playoffs. There is nothing like watching big time college teams battle it out on the gridiron.
From big hits to long passes, the college football playoffs have all the thrills you could ever want. And because they take place around New Year’s, tickets to the college football playoffs make an awesome Christmas gift for sports fans.

5. March Madness
Love basketball? Then March Madness should be at the top of your sporting events bucket list! It is the crown jewel of college basketball, for men and women.
Follow your favorite college team through the tournament or grab tickets to the Final Four or Championship game to get the most out of your time at March Madness.
This is another bucket list item where you have a variety of locations to choose from when planning your experience. And it is also one of the few items on this bucket list of sporting events that occurs over several weeks, giving you more flexibility when planning your trip.
6. College World Series
The sporting event that is at the top of my bucket list is the college world series. Our family loves watching college baseball. And this is the pinnacle of the sport.
We have watched college baseball playoffs in person many times, but we have never had the privilege of going to the College World Series. Hopefully, this will happen within the next couple years.
This tournament in Omaha, Nebraska starts Father’s Day weekend every year, which makes it a special way to bond with all the sports-loving fathers in your life.

7. Kentucky Derby
The next sporting event that should be on your bucket list is the Kentucky Derby. Who wouldn’t love to see the “most exciting two minutes in sports” live and in the flesh? And you can enjoy it while wearing an elaborate hat and drinking a mint julep! How fun!
I’m not a horse racing fan, but I think it would be a blast to see the Kentucky Derby in person at least once. It is such an American classic!
8. Rose Bowl
If you love college football, the Rose Bowl must be on your bucket list. This “granddaddy of them all” is the most legendary bowl game in existence! It is what all other bowl games strive to be.
The Rose Bowl has the pageantry and splendor that sports fans are looking for in their bucket list sporting events. Experiencing the Rose Bowl in person is something you will remember and relish for a lifetime.
And when you go to the Rose Bowl, don’t forget to get the full experience by also attending the Rose Bowl parade, which is as spectacular as the game.
We were fortunate to go to the Rose Bowl several years ago. It was an amazing experience that any sports fan would love!

9. Wimbledon
Do you prefer tennis to football and baseball? If so, then Wimbledon should be on your bucket list. This is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world and one every tennis fan should watch in person.
Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments and the only major tournament that is still played on grass. You will enjoy watching tennis’ biggest stars while snacking on strawberries and cream. Definitely add this sophisticated tournament to your travel wish list!
10. The Masters
Want another refined sporting event for your bucket list? Look no further than the Masters! This is one of golf’s biggest and most important tournaments of the year.
Every April, Augusta, Georgia hosts some of professional golf’s best players in this international invitational tournament. This is a great way to see the best of the best in golf with your own eyes.
If you love golf, you should put the Masters on your sports bucket list. If you have a golf lover in your family, consider giving them a trip to Augusta to see this tournament.
11. Army/Navy Game
The last game on our list of sporting events that should be on your bucket list is the Army/Navy football game. This may be the most patriotic game in college or professional sports.
Even if you are not a sports fan, this is a must-see game. This is always a hard fought game which is one of the biggest rivalry games in the country. It is also a great opportunity to watch our future military leaders celebrate America as they cheer on their team.
Conclusion
If you are a sports fan, there are several sporting events that need to be on your bucket list. These are the best of the best of them.
