Silver City is a small, off-the-beaten-path town in southwestern New Mexico, but it is the place to be if you are looking to visit the Gila National Forest, Gila Cliff Dwellings, or head off on the Continental Divide Trail. It also has a thriving art scene. And while Silver City is small, it has more than its share of wonderfully delicious restaurants. This guide of where to eat in Silver City will direct you to the best food in town when your tummy starts rumbling!

Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery

First on our list of where to eat in Silver City is Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery. This classic brewery sits in an old building on a corner, just inside the entrance to Downtown Silver City, making it super easy to find. In addition to brewing its own beers, Little Toad Creek also has many regional beers on tap. Complimenting its brews is a full menu of pub grub including burgers, tacos, flatbreads, and more. Most, but not all, of the food on the menu has a spicy New Mexican twist with the addition of green chile. The food is very good. And children are welcome here. They even have a kid’s menu. My 10-year-old son loves eating here. Additionally, Little Toad Creek regularly features live music on its stage. If you are a fan of breweries, you must check out Little Toad Creek!

Adobe Springs
Adobe Springs is one of my favorite places to eat in Silver City. It is a small restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu boasts a wide range of burgers and sandwiches, as well as many other yummy comfort food dishes. You can check out the full menu on their website. On the weekends, you can get breakfast up until 3:00 pm. We have eaten at Adobe Springs several times, and never had a bad meal. The sandwiches and sweet potato fries are especially good. The only complaint I have about Adobe Springs is that the service is slow. But, it is a great place for a relaxing meal on a weekend.

Diane’s
Diane’s is quaint little restaurant in downtown Silver City that is perfect for a quiet lunch date or dinner with the girls. The menu features salads, sandwiches, and pastas, which are all quite good. The pasta salad is the best I have ever tasted. While kids are welcome at Diane’s, this is the type of place that is more enjoyable for adults. I like saving Diane’s for times when it is just my husband and I.
Q’s Southern Bistro
When looking for where to eat in Silver City, you can’t go wrong with Q’s Southern Bistro. This small bar serves up everything from steaks and seafood to pasta, salad, and sandwiches. There’s also a good selection of Mexican food on the menu too. Q’s also has a fair number of beers on tap and multiple televisions scattered about for watching the big game. This is a favorite place to go on a Saturday night. Q’s is not huge, but does have a nice large patio for hanging out in the summer. Parking is almost nonexistent here though, so you will probably have to park on the street and walk a bit to get there. It is worth it however.

Jalisco Cafe
Jaslisco Cafe is the best Mexican food restaurant in Silver City. You know it’s good when it’s always busy. They serve classic Mexican food with generous amounts of green chiles that are characteristic of New Mexican cuisine. If you aren’t a fan of spicy food (like me), there are several options as well. And kids will love their kid’s menu. This is my son’s most favorite place to eat in Silver City. And Jalisco has huge sopaipillas to satisfy your sweet tooth! If you love Mexican food, this is definitely the place for you!

Wranglers
Last (but not least) on our list of places to eat in Silver City is Wranglers. Wranglers has something for everyone on their eclectic menu. Choices range from a salad bar to burritos. This is a great spot for families, large or small. This is not a quiet restaurant by any means, so you don’t have to worry about your children getting loud and disturbing other customers here. And don’t worry about missing the game. Wranglers has a television everywhere you look.
